Dear Friends, Thank you to all those who helped make our 2014 National Convention in Salt Lake City possible. With your help, along with the support from the great state of Utah, we are celebrating our most successful convention to date. Please see below our thank you letter published in the Salt Lake Tribune this morning. If you have the chance, take a look and share with family and friends. We would like our gratitude to extend as far as possible. Sincerely, Javier Palomarez

To the wonderful people of the Beehive State, On behalf of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), thank you for your hospitality during our 2014 National Convention. In Salt Lake City, we experienced more than just another convention. Here, we celebrated the core values that bind us together as entrepreneurs, as a community, and as one indivisible nation. It is always encouraging to see Hispanic business flourishing in New York, Florida, Texas or California. It is reassuring, but not surprising. What was truly inspiring was to find a community of Hispanic business enterprises blooming in a place like Utah.

Indeed, Salt Lake City was our miracle in the desert! With a total of 7,200 attendees -- including corporate executives, elected officials, community leaders and entrepreneurs -- we convened the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in American history. Salt Lake City did not only meet the challenge of competing with other host cities - it set a new record and thus became the standard by which others will be measured. It's evident that Utah has long been a safe haven for the seekers, welcoming those who come to work, contribute, and build the American dream. This very city was hewn by the hands of men and women who were yearning for a place of their own. In fact, Utah has long been welcoming to the Hispanic community. The state's Hispanic population has grown by over 80 percent in the last decade alone. Today, more than ten thousand Hispanic-owned firms call Utah home, contributing billions to the state's economy, every year. The story of this open and accepting culture of the American west is one of mutual opportunity, shared prosperity, and a rising tide that lifts all boats. You showed us the importance of evolving with the changing face of America. Our responsibility toward our nation's small business community requires a more expansive and inclusive approach. The people of Utah understand that the strength of the United States is in its fabric woven by people of all colors, creeds, cultures, and walks of life - each adding their own unique fiber. It is only a matter of time before this sentiment is shared wholeheartedly from coast to coast. What unites our association, our corporate partners, and Hispanic businesses is our quintessential American story, built on hard work, accountability, and a positive vision for the future. The USHCC is proud to acknowledge Utah's exceptional servant leaders, including: Governor Gary Herbert, Mr. Scott Anderson, Elder Witney Clayton, Elder Todd Christofferson, Ms. Mary Lee Robinson, Dr. Brian LevinStankevich, Mr. Kirk Jowers, Mr. Lew Cramer, Mr. Jonathan Johnson, Attorney General Sean Reyes, and our very own Mr. Don Salazar, who've worked tirelessly to foster a culture that values diversity of talent, ideas, values and backgrounds across all parts of this state. From its founding principles in the 1800's of self-sufficiency, a strong work ethic, and personal liberty, all the way to the inclusive and entrepreneurial spirit of today, Utah has become a microcosm of an America still within our reach.

We believe in the innovative spirit and progressive vision of your community as an inspirational force and a role model for us all. It is in championing this common cause that we extend our hand to the great people of Utah, and hope to work together for many years to come. So on behalf of our association, our community, and a grateful nation - thank you for everything. Thank you for being Utah. Sincerely, Javier Palomarez, President & CEO US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
