METROPOLIS, World Association of the Major Metropolises, is the leading association that gathers cities and metropolitan regions with more than one million inhabitants, as well as national capital cities worldwide. METROPOLIS represents the local administrations governments of 139 major metropolises, connecting them globally for effective cooperation and knowledge transfer, as well as fostering partnerships with them with the civil society, academia and private sector.
