Happy Holidays! Metro One is Proud to be Providing Security Coverage for Multiple Amazon Locations Nicole Gambino Talent Specialist

Over the past year I have been fortunate to be part of a ma jor source of growth within Metro One by working on our Amazon account. What started as one site, JFK-8, run by Account Manager Catherine Bertone in Staten Is land, NY, has turned into multiple warehouse locations & trailer yards around the U.S. These past

few months have been a whirlwind for us as we gained three new Amazon distribution warehouse centers within 6 months. Our first site was LDJ-5 on Staten Island, run by Site Manager Shakeria Bruce. With Catherine's help, we had a seamlessly smooth transi tion as we got this new site up and running. Next was EWR-9 in Carteret, NJ, under the management of Regional Account Manager Albert

Rivera & Site Manger Felix Erazo. Talent Specialists Russell Braccia, Tyler Vozza & I spearheaded the recruitment effort for these locations and we were faced with quite a few challenges. Initially, staffing was difficult due to the pandemic and needing to adjust our typical recruitment methods to ensure COVID-19 compliance, but we were quickly able to fulfill Amazon's needs. Our newest location TEB-9 in Somerset, NJ,

run by Site Manager Christopher Farrell, is a brand new site that Amazon just built. Metro One was chosen to secure the facility when it opened earlier this month. It is rewarding knowing that we provide Amazon with highly skilled officers and knowing that they are confident in our services. We are looking forward to the future and seeing what other growth opportunities Amazon has in store for us.

When Shots are Fired, Metro One Officers Work with Officers to Keep Customers Safe Chad Payne

Performance Manager

On 11/09/2020, during peak business hours, Metro One Armed Officer M. Wright was approached by Kroger store customers stating that a shooting was going on outside the entrance of Kroger store 695. Our Officer attempted to contact our Atlanta Police Department off duty officer via radio and then ran to the area, seeing people

coming in the store seeking shelter. Officer Wright was advised by the Atlanta PD officer to remain at the store, while he was searching for the perpetrators who fled from the immediate area. Wright remained at the entrance assisting customers in a calm and professional manner. Further investigation determined that a group had a verbal altercation with another group at a nearby skate park.

One group stole a bag belonging to the other. The victims chased the suspects ending up near the entrance of the Kroger store. An altercation ensued and the suspect pulled out a gun from his waistband. One of the original victims removed a Glock from his bag and shot two rounds in the air. The shots fired drew the attention of the Atlanta PD Officer posted at the Kroger store. The Atlanta PD Officer confronted

the victim at gunpoint. He then dropped the gun and was detained. Backup Atlanta PD officers responded to the scene to look for the perpetrators. The victim who discharged the firearm was arrested and subsequently charged. All parties did an outstanding job ensuring the store, customers, and citizens were kept safe and that it did not disrupt the normal operation of the store.
