Event Description/Theme: In support of Joslyn’s education programs, this year’s gala celebrates the exhibition Poseidon and the Sea: Myth, Cult, and Daily Life, organized by the Tampa Museum of Art. Gala guests will be the first to view Mediterranean antiquities including pottery; sculpture in terracotta, marble, and precious metal; and extraordinary examples of ancient glass, mosaics, carved gems, and coins. The evening includes cocktails in the Scott Pavilion gallery spaces and dining in the ConAgra Foods Atrium. Event Description: The 10th Annual Kids Can Fundraiser Luncheon will take place on May 6, 2014, at the CenturyLink Center. Keynote speaker is Shane Lopez of Gallup. Dr. Lopez is the world's leading researcher on hope and authored Making Hope Happen. We will present the Can Do Citizen and Can Do Junior Awards. The luncheon’s proceeds benefit children, low-income families, older adults and the community. Location: CenturyLink Center Omaha

Event Description/Theme: Contributing an economic impact of more than $21 million to the city of Omaha, Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo & Stock Show features one of the largest rodeos in the world, the largest 4-H Stock Show in the nation and the Douglas County Fair. Each event offers fun and free educational entertainment to families and youth and culminates with the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Stock Show Purple Ribbon Auction providing over $160,000 in scholarships, awards and prizes to 4-H youths.
