DESCRIPTION Metflex 120 CA is a 100% reactive waterproofing system based on the combination of acrylate-urethane chemistry. As such, Metflex 120 CA bridges the performance / application gap between two component urethanes and the classical acrylic resin systems. The polyurethane part in Metflex 120 CA is fully reacted in the polymer network and does not contain any free isocyanates. Metflex 120 CA is applied insitu with simple high pressure two component spray equipment. Metflex 120 CA cures by a free radical polymerisation which makes the product particularly suitable for on site application: Metflex 120 CA once cured produces a tough, hardwearing elastomeric membrane

Metflex is a high performance, fast-track waterproofing system that protects concrete, timber, masonry and steel structures from deterioration by water and chloride ions. Metflex 120 spray applied protective coating membrane is designed as a water and chemical resistant coating with added abrasion resistance. It can be applied to virtually any surface, including horizontal and vertical, to form a tough abrasion resistant membrane that is durable enough to accommodate most normal movement contained within structures of all types. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION Concrete New concrete needs to be at least seven days old The concrete surface should be free of laitance, oils, fats or any other contaminants The recommended surface preparation is by sand blasting or blastrac machine Steel The steel surface should be free from rust, oils, grease and other non adhering substances Blasting to Sa. 2.5 is highly recommended immediately followed by application of Metflex metal primer Consult our Technical Department for further advice on surface preparation and special primers.

APPLICATION Primer Metflex Concrete Primer is applied on well prepared surfaces Adhesion with concrete surfaces is achieved by use of Metflex Concrete Primer which cures in approximately 20 minutes and is applied at 250 - 500 GMs / M2 depending on the surface porosity. Membrane Metflex CA Sprayable is spray applied at 2mm dry film thickness the coverage rate is dependent on the profile of the substrate. For certain applications it is recommended to apply the membrane in two layers of different colour, this allows for the control of thickness and correction of surface imperfections. Finish Coat For certain applications it is necessary to apply a finish coat on the membrane to encapsulate anti skid aggregate etc. Different colours are available in the full RAL range Consult our Technical Department for further information.

Health & Safety Use in well ventilated areas. Avoid any source of ignition; wear protective clothing and eye protection during applications.
