OUR STORY Based in Germany, MeroWings has been growing steadily since the launch of its first internationally patented ergonomic Wings cushions collection. These designs represented an innovative breakthrough in multi-functional, all-round cushioning. Originally designed to enhance sitting, lounging and sleeping comfort, the therapeutic qualities of MeroWings’ flagship cushions have been tried and tested for over a decade. MeroWings branched out into the field of small furnishing items with the successful world-wide launch of the original Forest Logs and Trunk Trunk collections. These upholstered seats and log sofas were incredibly accurate three dimensional representations of real tree stumps and trunks and continue to amaze a broad spectrum of customers worldwide. The repertoire of themes has constantly grown and now encompasses a wide and varied range. These include the moon, trees, stone, rocks, fiery coral reefs, shimmering ocean floors and the latest vibrant green hedges, grass and golden yellow straw bale collections. Commercial customers and event planners can choose from a broad range of MeroWings’ furnishing items to create any manner of nature-inspired environments. These include themed landscapes for hotels, holiday parks, libraries, children’s playrooms, corporate and trade fair relaxation zones to name but a few. Alternatively, MeroWings’ creative pool of designers and partners enable the realisation of other make-to-order projects.

SCOPE MANUFACTURING & SOURCING SCOPE
Over the years, MeroWings has built up a strong network of experienced, high quality manufacturing partners. The main production locations are in Germany and Poland. On a business-to-business basis, MeroWings has proven to be a reliable and trusted partner to some of the world’s most discerning commercial customers. Going beyond the brand, it also provides maximum flexibility and choice. For example, the provision of replaceable covers is both a practical necessity as well as an ideal way to easily change between themes, without having to invest in additional fillings. MeroWings has also successfully fulfilled a number of bespoke projects. A comprehensive range of projects are currently underway, to transform processes on the fulfilment side of the business, as well as how and where products are assembled in key markets. These are long-term initiatives, and involve a great deal of time and effort to ensure they are realised. FOUNDER
Meena Valail-Dieter, designer and founder of MeroWings, was born in London and draws on a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary background. Before establishing the company, she worked within the industry for many years in the areas of project, product management and international market development. This fusion of artistic, scientific and industry experience is one of the cornerstones of the company’s creative capital, and ability to successfully operate on the international stage.

HOTELS & CONTRACTORS The authenticity of MeroWings Nature Inspired Products bring spellbinding ambience to any hotel, bar, pool or lounge area. This is why they are found in so many different locations around the world. From a professional perspective, MeroWings is a reliable, tried and trusted partner. Not only is their quality second to none, furnishing items adhere to the international fire retardant regulations needed for public places. Furthermore, many hotels also sell MeroWings’ products to their guests in their boutiques. As MeroWings delivers worldwide from their fulfilment centre, drop shipments can comfortably be arranged, so that the guests receive their products when they get home. The possibilities are endless and many of MeroWings’ services are offered on a contract basis. Due to the many years of experience of working in this industry, MeroWings has built up a vast network of suppliers and creative pool. BEDS & MORE MeroWings offer a broad range of high quality, functional and decorative furnishing items that can be used in a variety of settings. These include bed rooms, lobbies, bars and lounges, poolside, kids play areas to name but a few. Signature ergonomic cushions guarantee guests’ sleep comfort and enrich the hotels’ pillow menu. Additional traditional bed pillows can also be supplied with a variety of fillings including visco-elastic memory foam or patented rhombic flake mixes. For many hotels, the issue of having the right size luggage rack and where to position it is often a challenge. MeroWings has a solution for this with a variety of Ottomans that double up as attractive, comfortable and practically sized bench or sofa.

WINGS & BED PILLOWS A ground-breaking innovation in all-round cushioning The ergonomic design of the MeroWings’ internationally patented Wings cushions represented a breakthrough in the field of comfort and lifestyle. When used correctly, the various Wings’ models can help to improve posture and alleviate lower back pain, by providing physical support where needed. The cushion’s original shape takes its inspiration from a wing. And like wings, they have the flexibility to fit snugly around you from all sides when reclined into, providing simultaneous support for the head, neck, shoulders and back. When used correctly, they can also improve posture. When propped on the shoulders, they offer the perfect buffer for the head as they gently fold around to provide comfortable neck rest. This makes them ideal lounging into while reading or watching TV in bed or on a sofa. PRODUCTION SCOPE MeroWings’ has years of proficiency and production scope that covers a broad range of furnishing items for both indoor and outdoor use. These include all manner of cushions for sofas and floors, bed pillows, ottomans, stools, poufs, beanbags, coffee tables with optional glass tops, planters and place-mats. Above all, MeroWings has proven market expertise in the area of printing and the creation of photo fabrics, either for its own collections or for projects on a make to order basis. Due to the innovative and intriguing nature of MeroWings’ collections, they are frequently used on a worldwide basis by show organisers, prop hire companies, exhibitors and hotels for a multitude of events. For such occasions, MeroWings can also deliver replacement covers for its furnishing items to ensure easy cleaning and maintenance. Needless to stay, fully-certified fire retardant products in accordance with the required regulations are provided for commercial environments.

PROJECTS & EVENTS With a proven track record of managing projects and manufacturing expertise, the number of custommade assignments has grown. These include hotel fittings or tiered seating covers for stadiums – with or without the signatory photorealistic prints-on a made to order basis. On a practical level, as MeroWings is the creator of all designs and manages the production processes, replaceable covers can be ordered. This means that it is possible to easily strip the products for cleaning purposes and have reserve covers in-house so that the products can still be used. Alternatively, it’s possible to completely change the look of one product into another-perfect for seasonal shifts. For example, during the cooler months guests can enjoy an Alpine chalet setting with MeroWings’ forest collections then transform these into green hedges, golden straw bales and iridescent water columns during the summer.

KID’S PLAY AREAS Children around the world have a natural and playful response to MeroWings’ nature inspired collections. The luxurious velvety softness of the indoor versions of the log cushions, poufs and tree trunks are always a surprising jolt to the senses for both kids and adults alike and really engage the imagination due to the photo-realism of the prints and 3D objects. Indeed MeroWings’ biophilic designs often have immense positive effects on all those who come into contact with them from good-humoured curiosity, lively interaction to cosy snuggly relaxation. Over the years, many have shared their experiences with MeroWings and the photos speak for themselves. The repertoire of themes available has also grown immensely. Complete mixed forest environments can be created with either rustic oak and fresh cut Nordic birch touch or those with a more urbane modern feel with white grey birch and ash. By simply swapping the covers, other natural theme worlds can be created. IN & OUT To meet the growing market demands MeroWings has increased the number of outdoor versions of its best selling collection items. Indeed, the latest outdoor launches have been specifically designed for both indoor and outdoor usage, and can be enjoyed all year round. Whatever the setting, the natural styles of these furnishing items have the power to inspire and blend in beautifully with the environment. The materials used for MeroWings’ Outdoor Collection are water-repellent and breathable. In addition, the covers can easily be removed and either dry-cleaned or machine washed.
