A sweeping historical epic set against the backdrop of 18th century Denmark, A Royal Affair reveals the love triangle between King Kristián VII (Mikkel Boe Foelsgaard), his doctor Johann Struensee (Mads Mikkelsen) and the young Queen Karolina Matylda (Alicia Vikander).
