First up for the year 2016, we will be continuing with our “Parents of the Day” program. This program will be held twice a month (30 minutes). Parents will be given a schedule to come to their child’s class to do a certain activity with the students. The activities will be varied, according to your hobby/interest or your talent which you think the children need to know, such as: storytelling, dancing, play instrument, puppet show, cooking, gymnastics, arts and crafts; or any activities that is related to your occupation. This is going to be an interesting activity for the students, teachers and parents. You will be a given a form to fill up your information.

Help Me Read! Your child was born to learn! From birth, your child is learning important language and literacy skills. He sees printed words and symbols all around him: on signs, in books, magazines and on many items in your home. You can help your child learn that the print tells us something. These skills will help your child to learn to read and write. *Read books to your child every day. Be willing to read his or her favorites over and over again. Talk about the pictures and how they connect with the story. Point to the words when you read, so your child knows the story is coming from the print. *Take a walk or drive and play a game. Try to find signs with words that you know (Ex. STOP, WALK, EXIT, or name of a place to eat) *Write your child’s name in different places at home so that he/she can begin to recognize it.
The classroom opens at exactly 8:25 a.m. Pick up time is at 11:30 a.m. Bring them to school on time and pick them up on time. The longer they wait, the more anxious and more tired they get. THINGS TO BRING: Everyday: ~ Healthy snacks or fruits during snack time ~ two extra change of clothes (shirt, shorts/pants, underwear or diaper and socks) in their bag. Please do not let your child wear expensive accessories or bring toys as they often lose it during play time. Thank you!
