Midterm Examination Midterms don’t have to be stressful, so long as you prepare! Keep yourself organized and focused leading up to midterms. Also, make sure to get a good nights rest, and a healthy, filling breakfast before exams! And remember to “keep calm and carry on!” These are the tips that I always remind of my grade 4 students. They really worked hard and came to school prepared in answering all the challenging questions.

ers useful, not only helps clarify questions but, it makes studying more enjoyable. A piece of advise, your peers are going through the same thing, so get some of your classmates together and make it less stressful on all of you by working together.

Field Trip Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Popular field trip sites include zoos, nature centers, community agencies such as fire stations and hospitals, government agencies, local business-

es and science museums. Not only do field trips provide alternative educational opportunities for children, they can also benefit the community if they include some type of community service. The grade 4 students learn about different things, ideas and opportunities when they travel outside their own neighborhoods. Our trip can awaken the desire to try new things and pursue previously unconsidered dreams. It was an awesome experience because the children had opportunities and spark new interests and passions. We went to World of Wonders in Citra Raya. We had fun and kids enjoyed a lot. I can’t forget the smile on their faces. It was priceless. More to go! :)

Reading Week and also an activity where in they read with their parents.

One of the basic things that a person must learn and is very essential in life is reading. Anyone who knows how to read will know directions, can follow instructions and can develop their vocabulary. Often, we forget how essential reading is that we take it for granted. Students, especially, find it difficult to understand words and concepts essential for their lessons because of their lack of motivation to read. Thus, here in Mentari School, the English Department make it to a point to stress that the students are indulged in reading. The English department prepared lots of fun activities for the students to be inspired in reading. The Grade Four students were able to enjoy the different Englishrelated games in Book Trivia, had the chance to meet an author, were able to attend book cafe and Grade Four’s very own Tea Party with the theme Connect to Reading. They look fabulous wearing their best suit and dress. We were all busy preparing for the tea. Serving all our guests with biscuits and cookies was really hard work. They were tired but this experience is unforgettable. They also had daily activities such as D.E.A.R time which means Drop Everything And Read

The Book Carnival was prepared by the Grade Three students. The Grade Three students were assigned to facilitate one classroom that has different games to be enjoyed by the students. Some of these were the Spin the Wheel wherein they will answer different questions. It was like a real carnival. The students even prepared tickets and prizes. The students had fun they don’t want to stop playing anymore.
