4th Grade Home News Fun-filled and Meaningful Reading Week 2014 Held Successfully

As per tradition, Reading Week was successfully
experienced last November of
SMGS Celebrates Holiday Concert
2014 in Sekolah Mentari Grand Surya. All students from different grade levels took part and even facilitated activities in their
respective classes, which
promotes Reading. The grade four students certainly enjoyed the activities facilitated by the other levels such as the ‘Book Café’ by the Grade 5 students and the ‘Reading Camp’ by the Grade 6 students. They also took part willingly and actively in other activities such as Book Trivia. However, they particularly had more meaningful experiences in their very own activities like the ‘English Tea Party’.
In the culminating activity of the celebration of the Reading Week, our very own fourth graders presented a Reader’s Theater of the piece, “The Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything”. As a whole, the Reading Week was not successful because of the grand costumes that they wore, but in the amount of learning they have mustered from the all experiences. 1
