Kresna.com News Christmas Holiday Concert Reading Week Celebration

The Christmas Holiday Concert Christmas is always the most wonderful time of the year. Every December, the school holds special activity called, The Holiday Concert. It is during this time that the children, teachers and even parents would prepare special presentations showing off their talents in singing and dancing. Thanks to our talented Music teacher, Ms. Florgin, for her patience and for always encouraging our students to give their best when performing. This year’s Holiday Concert was very exciting and impressive. The children’s presentations were great and lively. The audience including the students were very surprised to see their teachers dancing. But the parents’ performance was well applauded. Of course the program wouldn’t be complete without the presence of Santa Claus giving away candies for all. The children had fun and very happy to see Santa Clauses, the big Santa Claus and the little Santa Claus. After the program, there was a Christmas party in each class. In Grade 1 Kresna, all children brought food and drinks to share for everybody, there were fun games and surprised group presentations prepared by the kids. The parents were very pleased and they also prepared some surprised presents for their children. When Santa Claus came to our class he gave away the Christmas presents to the children and they were very happy with the gifts they got. They were so thankful that their wished were granted by Santa Claus. Well, until next Christmas then! (-; Have a Happy Holiday everyone! (-;

Reading Week Celebration All children and even the teachers are always looking forward to Reading Week celebration as they get to join and see the different enjoyable activities prepared by each grade level. But the most awaited and exciting part for everyone is the culminating day as we all have to wear our book character costume. This year’s Reading Week celebration had lots of activities prepared by each level. Some were new and some were already done before. But the experience every time is different. The Grade 1 students had Bookmark Making, the Grade 2 had Storytelling, the Grade 3 prepared the Carnival Games, the Grade 4 had Tea Party and the Grade 5 had Book Café. Other activities that children enjoyed were the parents’ storytelling, the DEAR time, the Trivia questions and the Home Reading Challenge. Most of the activities joined by the students gave them the chance to win special prizes. On the last day of the celebration, everyone just looked amazing in their costumes. The children performed well during their presentations. Thanks to our English Teachers for preparing wonderful and fun activities. Until next year then!
