Audition The Menifee Theatre Arts Department Presents

The Glass Menagerie Directed By Jason Maddy

Monday, February 8th at 4:00 PM Room 207 Please read all before you audition Rehearsals will be Monday’s 4pm – 6:50pm, starting 2/22 Possible Saturday Rehearsals may be scheduled, as needed. Prepare 1 Monologue, No longer than 2 minutes that best shows off you. Be as familiar as you can with the play. There are no callbacks, so you may be asked to read from the script. This is a 4 person cast, with minimal rehearsals. You must be a disciplined performer, as well as talented, since most of the work will be outside of the rehearsal room. There is no time for line memorization and analysis in rehearsal. That is the Actor’s Homework. Every person in the cast must take part in another production this semester. That means you are presently cast or crew for Experiment in a Glass or one of the Play Readings taking place through the Readers Theatre Class (Street Car Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tim Roof). We are a company of Theatre Artists supporting each other and celebrating the work of one of America’s most brilliant playwrights. That means we are all an ensemble. Repertory work is also great training as this a common occurrence in the professional world of Summer stock Theatre. If you have already auditioned for Experiment in a Glass, you do not need to audition again, unless you hear from the director.
