Fitness is not only a place to achieve your goals, but a great place to meet members and have fun while getting fit! Our membership can take advantage of personal training, group exercise classes, Health, Wellness, & Life Coaching, massage therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, and private Yoga and Pilates. ◆

JANINE RICH-SCARLETT, Director of Fitness & Wellness
Janine became the Director of Fitness & Wellness at BCC in 2007, bringing her continued passion and dedication to helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle and will be celebrating 34 years in the fitness industry this year. “I am a Coach that believes fitness and wellness mean something different to each individual. A fitness and wellness lifestyle is not cookie-cutter, nor is it one size fits all. Each client’s program is created with a success roadmap, including progression markers, to help them recognize their success along the journey to their end goal.”
New Team Members
RYAN HARTSFIELD
Personal Coach, TPI Level 1, & Group Exercise Instructor Ryan has been a certified fitness professional since 2011. He has extensive experience developing and implementing personalized, movement-based fitness and golf performance programs as well as leading a variety of group classes from HIIT to yoga and meditation. “Your body and mind are your most valuable assets. Like any investment, your returns are directly correlated to how you manage them. Exercise, yoga, meditation, and healthy eating are the means by which we manage these assets to ensure that they yield optimal returns and allow us to live the life that we desire.”
KRISTIN WEYANT
Reformer Pilates Instructor Kristin attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a dance major. After having two children and years of wear and tear on her body through dance, Kristin turned to Pilates to restructure, rehabilitate and rebuild a stronger self. After four years of studying at the Physical Mind Institute in NYC, she became certified in MAT work, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, and Barrel. She has continued education in Golf Pilates as well as TRX. Kristin has worked with young athletes and specializes in working with ages 50 and above. “Pilates is balance, control, and mindfulness that encourages mind body awareness. Kristin’s passion is to share her knowledge of Pilates to all who want to learn and grow; it’s for everyone.”
JESSICA TAYLORSON
Personal Coach & Group Exercise Instructor Jessica has worked in the fitness industry since 2008, but has been an active person her entire life. Jessica has been a Personal Coach at BCC since October 2017, as well as teaching group exercise classes. Helping people live healthy, active lifestyles is her passion. “As the fitness industry is continually changing, I keep an open mind and continue to learn as much as I can to help my clients achieve their goals while staying safe and having fun!”
Personal Coach & Yoga Instructor Jenna joined our team in September 2020. As a Personal Coach, she loves sharing her passion for working out with others, and as a Yoga Instructor, she develops a better understanding of the mind-body connection. “I am on a continuous self-journey to find strength and grounding by embracing a connection with nature, physical exertion and movement, internal listening and breathwork, and community. I enjoy helping our members become the strongest mental and physical version of themselves.”
MARISSA LOFORTE
Personal Coach, Group Exercise Instructor, & Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner Marissa joined our team in January 2021. She grew up enjoying yoga, weightlifting, 15K races, and the great outdoors in upstate New York. Her upbringing led her into a passion of pairing yoga principles with exercise and sharing that passion with others. Marissa has been a personal trainer for six years, a 200RYT yoga instructor, a group exercise instructor, and a Thai Yoga massage practitioner. “Appreciate and learn from the harder days. Continuously chase after your goals. Accept and focus on the now-and you will succeed.”
REBECCA PRINTEN
Therapeutic Yoga Instructor Rebecca joined our team in January 2018. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years and began teaching in 2008. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance, studied Ayurveda, and is a registered Occupational Therapist. “I teach from the heart in a warm and inviting way, allowing the practice to be available to everyone. The practice isn’t about how far we go in a pose; it’s about learning how the poses can support our activities, exercise, and everyday functional movements. My approach specializes in promoting wellness through awareness, education, and yoga.”
VANESSA O’BREY
Group Exercise Instructor & Health, Wellness, and Life Coach Vanessa joined our team in December 2013. Vanessa is a graduate of the Holistic Massage Training Institute and a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in Maryland and received her yoga teacher training RYT 200 in 2010. She also teaches Reformer Pilates classes at BCC, and now offers Health, Wellness, and Life Coaching for our membership as she received her Health Coaching and Life Coaching Certification through the Health Coach Institute in April 2020. She is an avid runner, and fitness has always been an essential part of her life. “Yoga is a dance between control and surrender. It is not about being able to touch your toes, but being able to tie your shoes as you age. Health Coaching provides the right system, support, and accountability to help you transform your health and your body—for good!”
