RESET
With Vanessa O’Brey, Certified Health, Wellness, & Life Coach
A cleanse is a healthy way to reset the body’s systems. When you follow a cleanse, you are improving and optimizing the function of your body’s detoxification systems and supporting your body’s health. You are also giving your body a break so it can heal itself. In general, this cleanse is all about refueling your body with nutrients!
BEGINS MONDAY, JANUARY 10
$199 PER PERSON
Includes access to weekly Zoom group sessions, a private Facebook group, PDF of the Reset Cleanse guide booklet, worksheets, meal planning tips, and recipes
If you are not on Facebook, we can communicate separately via phone, text, and/or email—whatever is most convenient for you. Unlike most cleanse programs that focus on expensive juices or pills, this plan focuses on whole foods and nutrient-dense superfoods. We will be eliminating common causes of inflammation like meat, dairy, processed foods, caffeine, sugar, salt, oils, additives, and fillers. We'll take a whole body, whole food approach, from the inside out. We address the mindset, meditation, exercise, and self-care routines. Results will vary from person to person. However, people who have followed this detox have experienced increased energy levels, better digestion, glowing skin, overall better mood, improved sleep, weight loss, and reduced sugar cravings—to name a few.
PHASE 1: Pre-Cleanse Prep (7 Days)
The pre-cleanse is about committing, setting your intentions, shopping for cleanse-friendly foods, and beginning to ease your body into the full cleanse
PHASE 2: The Cleanse (7 Days)
During the cleanse, you will follow the simple elimination diet plan and body practices such as exercise and self-care
PHASE 3: Reintroduction (7 Days)
You will reintroduce foods back into your diet one by one to identify food sensitivities and intolerances, and create a maintenance eating plan that best serves you
WEEKLY ZOOM GROUP SESSIONS
Mondays | January 10, 17, 24, 31 | 7:00pm
We will do one Zoom call with the group each week to discuss challenges, ask and answer questions, and have accountability for our actions.
This program does not require you to purchase any products like supplements or powders—just the food during the cleanse. I recommend picking up a dry skin brush and a journal if you do not already have these items on hand. ◆ If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking certain medications, please consult your doctor before starting this program. For more information or to register, contact Vanessa O’Brey at vobrey@bcc1898.com | Registration deadline: January 5
OPENING YOURSELF UP TO THE NEW YEAR

By Rebecca Printen, Therapeutic & Alignment Yoga Instructor If you’re in the habit of setting new year’s resolutions, re-think it from a yogic perspective. In yoga, we have Drishti—a gazing technique used to draw the mind inward. What if this year, instead of setting a resolution, you set a Drishti of sorts? Deciding on what we want to spend our time looking at rather than declaring what we must do or change about ourselves.
Here are some examples:
• Instead of saying, “I resolve to make more time for myself,” say “I resolve to set my Drishti on the time I already have, and taking some of that time for my well-being.” • Instead of “I resolve to take criticism with more of an open mind,” say, “I resolve to be more confident.” For this kind of resolution to happen, all you have to do is to set your Drishti and keep looking with sustained interest, and then wait for what is already present to reveal its true form. Of course, sometimes changes do need to be made, and the new year is a good time to start fresh, but instead of demanding ourselves to make changes, can we look closely, stay focused, and invite change with softness and ease. ◆
