NEW GRACE, New BULLETIN!

Yes! The Grace Weekly bulletin has changed and has grown in size and coverage. In your hands is the new Grace bulletin for the month of January. Among its contents, it carries the inaugural message from our new Senior Pastor, Pastor Calvin. Feel the heartfelt thoughts and wishes as he shares from his heart in this new season for him and Grace. Inside the pages, the new Grace big picture messages are highlighted and the creative direction uncovered. As we tune you into new Grace we hope to communicate from today the essence that will captivate our church in this new chapter and from this new year. We pause and look back to 2011 in pictures, on how good God has been to us…Starting with the birth of J333, the Grace Retreat 2011, 40 Days of Community and honoring our heroes at the Workers Appreciation. As with Grace Weekly, the announcements for the various ministries are shown here, albeit reflecting the month rather than a week. SENIOR PASTOR PASTOR CALVIN LEE Dear Gracians, For 2012, I wish you Jesus, that the blessings of His grace and love be upon you. My prayer is that every Gracian will fall in love with Jesus more this year than last year; that you will enter into a deeper relationship with Him more than last year and you will seek Him with all your hearts more than last year. The verse for you is Ephesians 3:17, ‘And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God’. My prayer for Grace is that we will rise up to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, which is also our Mission Statement. We also want to rise up to our Vision Statement,

‘More People More Like Jesus.’ When the people of God begin to love God more and more, that love deep within us will compel us to love others. Our lives will then be a powerful testimony of His grace and then others will come to experience the grace of God through our lives.

“The essence of this theme is that wherever we are, we are the gospel, we are God’s missionary.” That’s why the theme for this year is to ‘Live Life Missionally’. The essence of this theme is that wherever we are, we are the gospel, we are God’s missionary. Let our lives shine, let our lives speak; let our lives demonstrate the life of Christ.

not ‘Show Business’. May we see more souls being added into His Kingdom. I am deeply humbled and honoured that the Lord gives me this privilege to lead Grace Assembly. This is a great responsibility and the Lord knows how much I need Him to do His work. Indeed, the task is awesome but God is more awesome. As I mentioned at the Installation Ceremony, the Lord laid upon my heart 3 things that I should take note as I lead the church: • • •

Firstly, to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. Secondly, to inquire of Him. Thirdly, to rely on Him.

By His grace, Charis and I will give our best to the Lord and do our best for Grace. We sincerely covet your support and prayers that together we will move forward as we fix our eyes on Jesus.

New Grace From page 1 Along with the announcements we list the topics for the new preaching series on Ephesians starting on the weekend of January 28th and 29th. Our website has also entered into the new Grace era with a new look for the homepage. An added feature includes the many testimonies that Gracians share when they experience the Hand of God on their lives. We take this opportunity to showcase our English congregation Pastors and Ministry staff, some are very familiar faces while others may be newer to you. Do continue to uphold our Pastors, Ministry Staff and their families in your prayers as they seek to serve the Lord and the church passionately. Toddlers’ Ministry @ GI Do you enjoy being with little ones and playing with them? Are you a parent who is passionate about your young ones growing up nurtured in the ways of the Lord? new Grace campaign Creative DIRECTION New Grace at its core illuminates the two fundamental messages of the Bible - Loving God (Great Commandment) and Loving people (Great Commission). In a sense New Grace gets us back to the basics. As we love God unreservedly, we will from that overflow, love people unpretentiously.

2. The people and theme for 2012 The ones fronting this campaign are a representative of Grace collectively. They portray the church’s desire to be contemporary and relevant in reaching out and ministering to this and the next generation. Alex, Kin Ming, Joel, Ian, Adeline, Jillian, Serene, Wendy and Lee Han are all committed members of Grace

and spend a fair amount of time and energy involving themselves in various ministries of the church. They personify the theme for 2012, to Live Life Missionally. This theme conveys the idea of us living our life with a Godly purpose and a Spirit-filled passion for the things of God.
