Valleyview Place by Ruth Townsend Reta Murray had Ian and Nancy Murray bring five of her great-grandchildren in to check with her last Friday afternoon Aniston, Alexis and Cole Murray from Minot and Reese and Carter Halamandaris from Winnipeg. So that made for a fun afternoon with them when they spent time at both the Pool and the Clubhouse. Lawrence and Anna Anderson from Calgary visited Lawrence’s mother, Helen Anderson, last week. Geoff and Allison Anderson and their two little boys, Austin and Hunter, from Cochrane, AB visited Grandma Anderson last Friday. Chris Jones has been in Town from Brandon and also visited Helen Anderson on Monday. Myrtle Pateman had Joy and David here with her last Thursday and Wilma Mallo joined them for lunch at the Chicken Chef before they returned to their home at Riverside, ND. Mary Atkinson called in for a fine visit with Myrtle on Sunday afternoon, too. Jean Fletcher has had her family members in for their welcome visits again. On Sunday, Mark also came from Virden. Last Thursday, Jean accompanied Barrie,
Wendy and Becky to Killarney when she kept an eye appointment there. Audrey Bugg accompanied Emile Holden and Lila Plouffe to Pipestone Cemetery where the burial service for the late Elise Motz was held. We send our condolences to all the family in their loss. Mary Champion’s son Russ visited her here on Sunday but she had to share him with many more of the residents who were enjoying the evening air out on the patio. Fun time for everyone involved. Hazel Onslow enjoyed the company of her nephew and his wife, Keith and Helen Cassan, from Medora and her niece Marjorie and husband Stan Nestibo of Parksville, BC, again last Sunday afternoon. Laura Klassen has spent time with her cousin Ev Huys who is in the Hospital. She has also had some quality time with other friends as well this past week. Donna Freeman had family members, Barb and Keven Thompson and Jana Lee and son Theo from Winnipeg. Also daughter Amanda Stamp from Edmonton as they thoroughly enjoyed as many of the Banana Days events that they could and wished to commend the Committee in charge. Patricia Downey went to Souris one day last week and brought Bob Hyricuk home from the Hospital there where he had been receiving treatment. Rev Allan Gairns brought the United Church worship service here again last Sunday to the few residents who were on hand to welcome him. He will he away for the next several weeks as he is on holidays and also taking a Sabbatical Leave at this time.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the Johnson families on the passing of their sister and aunt, Leota Skeleton, on July 31at Virden. Heather McLean of Alberta was a recent visitor with Bob and Elaine Shaw and other relatives. Jane Bremner of Nanaimo spent a week with Bob And Cheryl Ann and also visited with friends and relatives in the community. Wendy Anderson, Linda Audette, Jeannie, Nilda and Laurie Cole along with Louise Craven-McLean attended the Provincial Nomination meeting of the New Democratic Party in Arcola on July 27 where Nathaniel JD Cole was nominated the Provincial
NDP candidate for Cannington. Kahleigh Rehman and Rachel Granger of Victoria spent 12 days with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cheryl Ann and visiting other relatives. They also took in the RCMP Musical Ride at Wawota and also visited with cousins at Moosomin Lake. Kayla Stephenson of Alberta was a recent visitor with Grandpa and Grandma Collier. Laurie Cole, Louise Craven-McLean, Linda Audette and Pamela Brown attended the RCMP Musical Ride in Wawota on July 28.
