ABOUT

DOUBLE GREEN$

Buying healthy food on a limited budget can be hard, but the FRE$H SAVINGS makes it much easier. The FRE$H SAVINGS program (formally known as DOUBLE GREEN$) encourages SNAP recipients to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetables with their SNAP benefits through a variety of incentives.

How Does this Program Work? At participating Kroger Grocery Stores: Spend $10 on fresh fruits and vegetables with your SNAP card. Get a FRE$H SAVINGS coupon for half off your next purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables (up to a $10 value). A maximum of two coupons are allowed per SNAP household, per month. At participating farmers markets: Spend up to $10 with your SNAP card. Get the same amount in FRE$H SAVINGS tokens to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. At the end of market season, tokens will expire.

Where & When Will FRE$H SAVINGS be Offered? FRE$H SAVINGS rolled out in Tennessee starting in mid-September 2015. At participating Kroger Stores, it will be available year round – including stores in the greater Shelby County area, as listed below: • Kirby & Quince – 2835 Kirby Pkwy • Southgate – 1977 S. 3rd St • Raleigh - 3860 Austin Peay Hwy • Gleaneagles – 4470 Riverdale • Atoka – 11630 Highway 51 South • Bartlett Towne Center – 5596 Stage Rd.
