Meldreth Primary School PTA
The Meldreth Primary School PTA has a busy year ahead. Our school pool has been condemned and we need to save it. With Covid restrictions lifting, we are looking forward to organising more events for our children and families this year and raising some much needed funds for the PTA coffers, as well as for the school pool. We are three quarters of the way to raising the money needed to replace the school pool and hoping to reach our target by Christmas so that works can be completed ready for the children to swim next summer. Our events to raise money for the pool this half term include a Sponsored Zumbathon on 21st October [see back cover] led by our resident Zumba expert Thea Peacock. We will be starting a monthly Facebook Auction in the run up to Christmas. We are welcoming donations of any new, nearly new, or good quality second hand toys, books or other items. We would be happy to sell them in our Facebook auction to raise funds for the school pool. Please contact the PTA at meldrethpta@gmail.com if you have donations. The PTA is also organising a crafts area at the Christmas Fair on 21st November [see page 10] to keep children occupied while their parents and carers browse the various stalls. We will be holding a raffle on the day too and proceeds will go to the Meldreth Primary School Swimming Pool fund.

Bags2School
We are pleased to be repeating our Bags2school collection on 8th November. If you are having a pre-Christmas clear out, feel free to drop off good quality clothes, bags, shoes and accessories to the school garage during school hours the week beginning 1st November.
