GOLDEN SUNSET RANCH

Welcome To Our Third Annual Bull Sale!

e would like to say “Thank You” to our family, friends and customers for taking time and showing support in our program. We would also like to extend that “Thank You” to Wayne for his continued support and partnership in this sale. 2019 was a challenging year for the agriculture industry. From one of the coldest winters on record, to a dry spring, then to the rain starting and never seeming to stop, making an extremely hard season for putting up feed, to an almost impossible harvest. As cattle producers we have worked hard to make it through, may 2020 be a great year in the making. The cattle market seems to be on the rise and fat cattle prices look very strong. I believe this could be the year they rise all the way to fall. This may be the year for you to keep a few more females to breed and cash in on some profits in the future markets. We are very excited and confident in our bulls on offer this year. We believe every year our bulls are getting better and better. We encourage everyone to stop by the farm or sale to view the bulls. If you are in the market for a new herd sire, let us discuss your cow herd and their needs. Let us find a bull for you! Whether it is a calving ease bull, power cow bull or somewhere in between, we will help you find that bull to suit your specific needs. We have moved part of our herd to calve in the summer to create some extra aged bulls. Next year will be the first year for these bulls to sell. Hopefully this helps meet some more of our customer’s needs, plus the heating bill on the barn is way less in the summer, so it helps us out too! Our cows will still breed on a 42-day cycle. We still focus on fertility, maternal, temperament, soundness and performance. If there are any bulls that you are interested in and can’t attend the sale, please let us or any of the sale staff know and we will be happy to assist you. We look forward to seeing you on March 19.
