standing with ryan: a Forest Park Firefighters local 2753 Fundraiser on June 10

The Forest Park Firefighters Local 2753 will host a fundraiser on Saturday, y June 10, 1 to 4 pm at Shanahan’s, 7353 Madison Street in Forest Park to benefit Ryan and his family. Young Ryan sustained multiple life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car back in March Members of the Forest Park Fire Department responded to the call and have since visited Ryan and his family to keep up with his progress. Remarkably, Ryan, who has a wife and an 8-year-old son, was recently able to start therapy Forest Park Firefighters Local 2753 members have developed a bond with Ryan and his family and coordinated this fundraiser with music, raffles, food, drinks and more to help him through this difficult time.

Westchester Food Pantry

For day-to-day Pantry operations, there are always volunteer options available, including Greater Chicago Food Depository receiving crew; food sorting and shelving; set up crew; parking lot attendant; client service crew; registration crew; and Wet Nose Pantry volunteers for clients with dogs and cats. The Westchester Food Pantry is located at 1938 S. Mannheim Road, Westchester Anyone interested in donating food or volunteering should visit the website at www.westchesterfoodpantry.org. Monetary donations can be safely made online If you need food, stop in Wednesdays, 4:30 to 7pm or Saturdays, 9 to 11 am.
