Garage sale Information for 2023
Garage sales will be held on the third weekend of June, July, August and September. Sales are to be conducted on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the designated weekends; no sales on Sundays Exact dates are June 15, 16 and 17; July 20, 21 and 22; August 17, 18 and 19, September 14, 15 and 16 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm only No permit is needed for garage sales, however, certain rules must be followed, including no sales in apartment buildings or in the front yard, no signs or sale items on the public sidewalk, parkway, etc.

Street Closure for a Melrose Park Block Party is now allowed. Residents must bring or mail in an application for a special permit in the Building Department at the Village Hall The permit is free, but must be submitted to the Village trustees for approval since traffic must be rerouted to accommodate a party The Village will provide barricades on both ends of the block.
