Fire Services

• 6 peace officers • 1 animal control officer • Patrol approximately 2,436 kilometres of road • Responsible for enforcement of Leduc County bylaws and selected provincial statutes • Boating authorities as outlined by Transport Canada

• 1 full-time fire chief • 2 full-time deputy fire chiefs • 1 full-time volunteer coordinator • 1 fleet coordinator • 5 part-time district fire chiefs • 64 part-time firefighters, who work out of 2 Leduc County fire stations (Nisku and New Sarepta) • County fire and rescue trucks are located in Calmar, Leduc, Millet, Nisku, New Sarepta, Thorsby, Warburg and Edmonton International Airport fire stations • Cost-sharing agreements are in place with above agencies and municipalities to respond to emergencies within the county • Responded to a total of 861 emergency calls in 2012

Ambulance Services • Alberta Health Services is responsible for emergency medical services throughout the province. In the event of a medical emergency, the closest available ambulance will be dispatched. Within Leduc County, ambulance stations are located in Beaumont, Leduc and Warburg, with a daytime unit stationed in Calmar.
