Cooking at KI is an event planned by Global Friends whose aim is to promote different cultures by inviting international students to share recipes from their home country. Just like any other cooking show, you can join the currently digital event from the comfort of your home and follow the steps demonstrated by the chef to cook and enjoy the international dish of the day.
PENNE ALLA VODKA ● 500 g penne of good quality ● 2-3 garlic cloves, minced and then pureed with the back of a knife or grated with a microplane ● 2 shallots, finely diced ● 2 dl cream ● 3-4 tablespoons vodka ● 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes, pureed and sieved to remove seeds (preferably San Marzano tomatoes) ● 5-6 Calabrian chilies, minced (can be substituted with 1-2 teaspoons of chili flakes) ● 1 stem of basil ● 1-2 sardine fillets ● 1 dl pecorino, finely grated and sieved ● 2-3 tablespoons olive oil ● 1 cup reserved pasta water to adjust consistency ● salt to taste
