The work permit is restricted to only a few neighboring Asian countries, like Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, India, Thailand, etc. •While both EP and work permit holders are tied to their employers, but EP holders have been given more privileges compared to the work permit holders. •If an EP holder wants to swap jobs, they can do so by informing their employer. If their EP gets canceled, the Government will allow them to stay for a short period with a short time visa. But, a work permit holder doesn’t have such privileges as if the employers decide to relieve them from work, they will be deported back to their country.
