Nuclear Medicine Residency Program Report - 2012 - 2014 Dr. Mark Freeman - Residency Program Director The University of Toronto Residency Program in Nuclear Medicine, a seven-year dual certification program in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Our fully integrated rotational program is located at eight hospital sites within four Imaging Departments. There are three core departments [Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH)-University Health Network (UHN)-Women’s College Hospital (WCH), St. Michael’s Hospital (SMH) and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC)] along with one paediatric centre (Hospital for Sick Children); each site is well-equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment. Cornerstones of our program include a tremendous volume and variety of case material, highly structured curriculum and comprehensive courses in research, physics, radiopharmacy, radiobiology and radiation safety. The teaching faculty is dedicated and offer enthusiastic teaching, support and mentoring throughout the Residency training. High quality teaching is provided during all rotations, rounds and at academic half-days.
