Sheldon’s in-house manufacturing facility on NSW’s Central Coast enables local production of top quality furniture and joinery, without the risk of long lead times or supply chain issues. Sheldon places environmental regeneration and circular design practices at the core of their entire process, starting from the design phase where spatial planning and material selection are carefully considered. Sheldon guides clients towards more environmentally sound alternatives, prioritising reuse and recycling where possible to minimise the carbon footprint. With control of the entire design and construction process through their internal divisions, Sheldon is able to incorporate sustainable initiatives throughout the lifecycle of the project. Sheldon currently utilises zero emissions electric vehicles for deliveries while working towards transforming their local furniture and joinery manufacturing factory to a fully solar-powered facility. With a focus on Country, Sheldon has always been passionate about increasing cultural awareness of Australian Indigenous people and communities and to bridge the gap in employment, opportunity and health. It is important at Sheldon that they engage with Indigenous communities and perspectives internally, and through their projects.
