CINEMAS 46 cinemas across the UK are part of the Europa Cinemas network. Creative Europe supports the European cinema exhibition sector through co-financing of a pan-European network of 1,050 cinemas totalling 2,536 screens, in 628 cities of 34 countries. The percentage of European screenings across the network is 60%, much higher than in other commercial cinemas. 46 UK cinemas are members of the Europa Cinemas network, spread across 33 cities in all four nations of the UK. 70% of the supported screens can be found outside London, and this includes 14% in Scotland and 2% each in Wales and Northern Ireland. In addition to supporting the programming of European films, the network is also a place for exchange, offering meetings, seminars, labs and exchange programmes that help to drive innovation and change.
