Main Unit
The main unit forms the core of the multimedia conference system running on the mMediaCongressTM platform, a TAIDEN independent intellectual property. It is backward compatible to the TAIDEN HCS-4100 Digital Conference System and contribution units from both systems can be combined. > Closed-loop daisy chain connectivity. > Optical fiber outputs; enable long-distance room combining.
Power Supply Unit
The power supply unit provides power to the multimedia conference terminals and gigabit network switcher. Each unit can supply power for up to 32 multimedia terminals. Shutdown of the unit is synchronous to the main unit. Installation of a dual backup power supply unit is possible; in case of unit failure, the standby unit takes over seamlessly.
> Dante protocol. >8 channels of group outputs and integrated audio matrix processor for maximum flexibility. I n combination with required software modules, implement and manage delegate request-to-speak list, digital audio recording, automatic video tracking, electronic voting, language interpretation, and more options (view Conference Management, Section 10, page 47).

Gigabit Network Switcher
Based on TAIDEN-originated Gigabit Multimedia Congress Stream technology, all audio and video signals are transmitted from the switcher to the multimedia terminals via a CAT6 network cable, allowing real-time performance and stability of important data during meetings. The switcher has 8 RJ45 ports to connect to the main unit, multimedia terminals (up to 200 per switcher), video server, and external routers.
Extension Main Unit
Each extension main unit has 4 ports to connect up to 28 video monitor units or up to 88 standard wired conference microphones (number will vary depending on selected model). A newer version of the extension main unit with 3 ports takes up less rack space.
Encoders
TAIDEN encoders enable presentation materials, far end video, and other forms of content to become viewable and selectable items within the multimedia terminals. Encoders are available for HDMI, SDI, VGA and AV signals, giving the flexibility to maintain a high quality video resolution.
RELATED APPLICATIONS
Boardrooms
Training Centers
Council Chambers
This elegant solution, offering all communication tools required in meeting rooms in one compact unit, is ideal for high-end boardrooms. Using multimedia terminals also resolves line-of-sight issues with screen or camera positioning in video teleconferencing boardrooms.
The TAIDEN solution will ensure a quality learning experience for all in the room and on the far end in distance learning applications through enhanced audio intelligibility, interactivity and the ability to view the training materials clearly.
Government meetings traditionally need to implement speaking protocols, data collection, archiving, paperless document display, electronic voting, and video tracking for streaming; the TAIDEN Multimedia System is an ideal all-in-one solution integrating all these capabilities.
