1949 MERCURY M-47 PICKUP
Produced by Ford Motor Company of Canada between 1946 and 1968, the Mercury M pickup became a popular choice for truck buyers in the Canadian market. One of very few to make it to the American market, this 1949 M-47 pickup is built on a 118inch wheelbase and uses a high output 255 CI flathead V-8 with a floor-shifted 3-speed transmission. Its brilliant Red finish extends to the steel bed, clean engine compartment and painted wheels, the latter trimmed with chromed hubcaps and rings and shod with wide Whitewall tires; the bumpers and running boards are finished in Black. The clean and functional interior incorporates cowl ventilation.
