death. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Ring Jr.; her daughter, Sharron R. Lahr, sisters; Emily Strange, Geraldine Jordan and Mary Plaskett, and her brother, Charles B. Harmon. She is survived by her son, John D. Ring III (Carolee), her daughter, Emily “Buttons� Humphrey (Michael), and sister, Audrey Mayo; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Ann lived and loved her life in Richmond and Mechanicsville. She retired from Reynolds Metals and Henrico Tool & Die. She loved gardening and bird watching, but her greatest passion was for her family. Funeral services were held at noon Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Monaghan Funeral Home at 7300 Creighton Parkway in Mechanicsville. Entombment was at Hanover Memorial

MARK A. VAN ROEKEL Mark A. Van Roekel, 57, of Richmond, passed away on March 23, 2017. Mark is survived by his wife, JoElle Bradley Van Roekel; and their two daughters, Sydney Bralyn VAN ROEKEL and Bradley Ella; his parents, Anthony and Sydney Van Roekel of Frisco, Texas; his sister, Kristen and her husband, Craig Rooker; nephews,
Benjamin and Graham Rooker; niece, Katherine Wheeler, all of Austin, Texas; his in-laws, Frank and Carol Bradley; brother-in-law, Ryan Bradley and his wife, Kim; and nephews, Jackson and Ryder Bradley, all of Mechanicsville. Mark also is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and special friends. Mark was born in Iowa on December 29, 1959. Mark grew to be a creative, intelligent, motivated businessman and entrepreneur with a passion for leading-edge technology. He was fun-loving with a kind heart for his wife, daughters, family, friends and dogs. He enjoyed fishing, war gaming, kayaking and camping. A Celebration of Life was held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Hope Church at 12445 Patterson Avenue in Richmond. The family will have a private graveside service at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover.

HAROLD K. WEBB Harold K. Webb, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2017. He was born May 20, 1937, in Red Ash, a son of the late Neal F. and Dora Pearl Webb. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, WEBB Janie L. Webb; his three sons, Brody R. Webb (Ginger), Christopher Webb and Harold K. Webb Jr. (Kim); six grandchildren, Brandon, Nick, Kenny, Sarah,
Charlie and Cory; stepgranddaughter, Meagan; as well as various siblings, nieces and nephews. Harold was a Hanover County resident for 44 years and was owner/ president of Hanover Iron & Steel Inc. for 49 years. He leaves behind many friends and colleagues and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Service will be private.
RUTH ANNE WILKINS Ruth Anne Wilkins, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, formerly of Doswell, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017. Born in 1930, she was forever 39 and holding. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jeter Wilkins Jr.; and her brother, Joseph Earl Bowles Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ann C. Bruce (A.C.), Jane Stanley (Charley) and Tommy
Wilkins; grandchildren, Tres Bruce (Emily), Reisa Smith (Bryan), Ash Bruce (Jen), Erin Blunt (Michael) and Patrick Stanley (Sammi); as well as nine great-grandchildren.
