Miss Booth to wed Mr. Terrell Mr. and Mrs. David A. Booth of Mechanicsville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Brigette A. Booth, to Mr. Davin D. Terrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daved B. Terrell of Mechanicsville. Miss Booth is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Booth of Hartwell, Ga., and the late Mrs. Mary E. Sargent of Erie, Penn. She is a graduate of Atlee High School and a cum laude graduate from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration. Miss Booth received a Master in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia – VCU, and is now the Chief Operating Officer for Virginia Urology. Mr. Terrell is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Terrell of Mechanicsville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers, formerly of Mechanicsville. He is a graduate of Lee-Davis High School and received a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College. He is currently serving in the 82nd Air Borne Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. A May 2011 wedding is planned.
Patricia Louise Christian of Mechanicsville announces the engagement of her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Hansen to Joshua Aaron Tyler. Sarah is the daughter of Pat Christian and local artist, the late Donald Helmer Hansen. Sarah is a Fashion Designer and Production Manager for the online company Shabby Apple. Sarah is also the Lee-Davis Head Varsity Cheering Coach, the Assistant Gymnastics Coach, and the Stonewall Jackson Middle School Assistant Gymnastics Coach.
Sarah graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. Joshua is a professional cage fighter, who trains and competes in Mixed Martial Arts. He is also the Head Coach for the Lee-Davis Wrestling Team and works for Hanover JOSHUA TYLER and SARAH HANSEN County Public Schools. Richard E. “Dick” Gentry and Jean W. Gentry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 19, 2010. The couple has two children, Rusty and Susan Gentry of Midlothian, Paul and Cindy G. Nunnally of Mechanicsville and five grandchildren, Austin and Evan Gentry, Heather, Hunter and Amber Nunnally. They moved to Mechanicsville from the West End four years ago and love being the “Popa” and “G-Ma” for all the younger families of their neighborhood.
