Jacobson-Ford wed in ceremony held at Northside Baptist Church

The marriage of Miss Samantha Brooke Jacobson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael A. Jacobson of Mechanicsville to Mr. Noah Justin Ford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bond, Jr. of Mechanicsville, and Mr. Wayne Ford of Dillwyn, Va. took place Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Northside Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, Va. The Reverend Wayne Smith officiated. The bride is the granddaugh-

ter of Mrs. Doris VanZile and the late Mr. Thorney VanZile, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jacobson. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Ellenor Walton and the late Mr. Robert Walton and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford, Sr. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. Kelli Robertson was matron of honor; Miss Heather Clay was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.

Dana Thom, Mrs. Alex Prosser and Miss. Katie Paravati. Miss Mella LeRoy was flower girl. Mr. Sam Ford was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Wayne Ford, Mr. Jeremy Small, Mr. Richard Robertson and Mr. Samuel Bond, Jr. Master Todd Robertson was ring bearer. The reception featuring dinner and dancing was held at The Jefferson Lakeside Country Club. Following a romantic honeymoon at the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Mechanicsville with their Yorkie, Benelli.

The marriage of April Michelle Holliday to Kevin Lee Newcomb took place on June 25, 2010 at 6:30 in the evening at The Place at Innsbrook. The bride is the daughter of Mike and Mary Ann Holliday of Mechanicsville, and the groom is the son of Tony and Nancy Tinsley of Mechanicsville. The Matron of Honor was Cathy Calhoun, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Sarah Calhoun, niece of the bride, Courtney Fuentes, friend of the bride, Meghan Mills, friend of the bride, and Rachel Eckler, friend of the bride. The Best Man was Tony Tinsley, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Todd Newcomb, Anthony Tinsley, and Austin Tinsley, all brothers of the groom. Melissa Powell, sister of the groom, recited a reading for the couple. Mason and Henry Calhoun, nephews of the bride, and Luke Powell, nephew of the groom, were the ring bearers. The bridal party came down the aisle to the sound of the violin played by friends of the couple, Liz Perrot and Greg Fogal. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple celebrated their nuptials with a reception immediately following the ceremony in the ballroom at The Place. The happy couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
