Richard Groover and Patricia Jackson, of Mechanicsville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leeanne Groover, of Richfield, N.C., to Joseph Michael Pacek II, also of Richfield, son of Joseph and Phyllis Pacek, of Linesville, Pa. Jessica is the granddaughter of the late Sterling and Maudie Groover, formerly of Newport News, Va., and the late John and Jean Jackson, formerly of Alexandria, Va. Joseph is the grandson of Walter and Nancy Pacek, of Tarentum, Pa., and the late Lorin and Enid Bell, formerly of Oil City, Pa. Jessica is a graduate of Lee-Davis High School and received her bachelor’s degree in English from James Madison University. She received her Master of Journalism degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is employed as a reporter for the Independent Tribune in Concord, N.C. Joseph is a graduate of Linesville High School in Linesville, Pa., and received his associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting from Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He is employed as the design project manager for Storm Technologies, Inc. in Albemarle, N.C. A September 2012 wedding is planned.

Koby and Seth are happy to announce the engagement of their mom, Cassie L. Sharpe, to Matthew B. Olive. Both are employed with Luck Stone. The couple will be married July 7, 2012. After the honeymoon they will reside in Mechanicsville and are looking forward to a fun filled summer.

Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet has graciously agreed to donate a portion of their sales, this night, to benefit Henry Fire’s training, equipment and operating needs.
