Awards and Scholarships The Duke of Edinburgh Award The Duke of Edinburgh is a challenging programme that has been designed in ascending standards of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. The sections of which each participant must master are: Service, Expeditions and Explorations, Skills, Physical Recreation, and a Residential Project (for Gold Award participants). If a student attains Gold level status, they are given their award by Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh founder. All students in Grade 9 are encouraged to complete the Bronze level.

Deborah Holbard Memorial Award for Excellence in Arts Grade 6 to 10 - Aidan Waugh Grade 11 to 12 - Alice Yuan & Allan Read This award is given to students who demonstrate originality, exceed expectations in art appreciation, technical skill, effort and creativity. These students are self-motivated, self-critical, and open to new ideas and approaches. The recipients of this award are recognized as always striving to achieve a higher level of artistic endeavour and appreciating art in its many forms.

Passport to Education

The Passport to Education Scholarship is awarded to students in Grades 10 and 11 at $250 and to students in Grade 12 at $500. At least two-thirds of the weighting must be on course grades. Up to one-third of the weighting should be on effort, work habits, and other factors such as citizenship and/or school/community involvement.
