Our design of this ecological research institute, here revolves around the pivot of a flexible and sustainable, strongly supported by the pillars of biophilic architecture, inclusiveness of spaces, climate condusive materials and construction, thereby creating a self sustainable welcoming environment to prosper in the functionality. The segregation of spaces in the vertical sprawl according to the functionality also inculcates better security and it’s utilitarian value while still binding the blocks via cohesive connections. Several striking design elements such as cantilevered terraced library, open to sky herbarium and multifunctional spaces add in an appealing life to the design.

The design of fashion institute revolves around the functionality of the building, inclusivness of the spaces that are designed in a way that students feel a sense of connect with the space and desire to spend more time on campus, to enjoy the process of learning all together. Spaces are designed by keeping in mind the basic student psychology and how they will react to a space in their college or school. Since the proposed design is a creative institute, students are provided with ample amount of creative spaces, like courtyards, viewing decks, gardens where they can work with peace, creating an environment to establish communication between each other.

This design creates a society that is self sustainable to offer a better accessible, conventional lifestyle, improved economy and ultimately a self sufficient life in terms of design and spaces. The final form is derived after permutation and combination from the game Tetris where different shapes are flexibly curated using L-shaped modules that provide better ventilation and effective construction. Recreational spaces like gardens, swimming pools and decks ,that adds life to the design.

Starting on the site with a cube block. First three floors are used for the commercial use like offices and then rest are residential modules.
Merging the modules with others to make floor plates of the building and achieving the main form of the building.

Location: Bhubansewar, Odisha, India
The design represented here is a residence project for an architect. The project revoles around the uniques form of the building. The concept taken up embibes function follows form. It is designed in a minimalistic architectural style. Different wooden textured materials have been used in the project to give it a rustic look. Wooden decks have been provided for casual sitout and house party events. The pergola adds to the aesthetics and acts as a recreational space for the family.

Form development
Taking 8 small cubes and stacking them on top of eachother four at bottom and 4 on top of them.
Pushing one side stack abit backwards for developing the form fully.
Transforming the stack and merging top two blocks together.
Creating perforations for garage parking and balcony on first floor.
Adding facade and creating some more irregularities in the form for the final form.

This is the working drawing of a villa for a client in CDA( Cuttack develpment authority), Cuttack, Odisha. The requirments of the project are, a 1bhk on the first floor and a 2bhk layout with a portico in the front for car parking. This project is under construction and these are the final working drawings that are to be followed on the site.

Sonagachi documentation
This was a ANDC competition group project that has been done on Sonagachi, Kolkata, West Bengal. this project is based on unlearnrelearn and redevelopment of the area.
The soul concept of the design pivotes around creating an urban intervention that adcovates for social equity, by changing people’s perception towards the Sonagachi area, Kolkata.
The women related to fleshtrade are often subjected to voilence, we want to build a safer community for would feel included and will be accepted as a part of the society.
Area mapping of Sonagachi
Designing an urban streetscape integrating the various cultural elements without compromising needs of the stakeholders in order to bring about a paradigm shift in the socio-economic aspect of the site which would have a greater impact area, preserving the intrinsic heritage and cultural value of the hub owing to it’s distinctice identity. This map shows the main area of Sonagachi and road layouts of the area.
