OPENS JANUARY 2019
McWane Science Center is not only home to a vast collection of permanent exhibits, the museum also tries to mix things up annually with new touring exhibits that will both educate and entertain. Over the course of 2018 and 2019, McWane plans to present four exciting traveling exhibits that are unique, fascinating and appealing to a wide range of visitors. Behind the checkered flag and smell of burning rubber, science has pushed the development of auto racing into the highest echelons of sporting achievements. SPEED: Science in Motion investigates the expertise and technology behind Formula 1 racing, looking at how physics and engineering work with biology and human endurance to support this multi-million dollar industry.
