SEASON PREDICTION: FOURTH: The consensus is that the boys at Princess Park will challenge for another premiership this year. After bowing out of the finals in straight sets last year as reigning premier, the Swans have added nicely to their team in Hayden Best’s second year and should have enough firepower to push far into September.
GAME CHANGER: James Kroussoratis
Mitch Bell IN: Jessie Finnen (East Malvern), Nathan Terlich (Rumbalara), Chris Cullinan (Heidelberg), James Kroussoratis (Eltham), Tim Ewart (Murchison), Brad Ridings (Queenscliff) OUT: Tyson Sidebottom, Justin Maddern (Mitiamo), Brady Childs (South Bendigo), Ryan Keys (Banyule), Alex Overs (Katamatite), Ian Fry (Picola United)
Key forwards are hard to come by, but the Swans have replaced a quality one in Justin Maddern with another that will be hard for opposition defenders to handle. Still only in his early 20s, Kroussoratis is coming off an exceptional season in the Northern Football League and should become one of the stars of this competition.
