FAiRFiELD — Crews Highway 12 interchange late Thursday and into Friday morning and will continue the work Friday night.

Eastbound Highway 12 at Red Top Road was closed overnight Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday to install temporary barriers on the highway, the state Department of Transportation said in a statement.

Crews will also close various lanes overnight Friday on westbound i-80 near Red Top Road. Two lanes will remain open at all times. The closure will be from 7 p.m.
