Architecture is my profession, and delivering a superior community design experience is my passion. I grew up in a family of educators and immigrants. My mother was a public school librarian for decades, and my father was a self-employed immigrant from Vietnam. Their collective influence gave me a deep appreciation for learning and respect for the uniqueness of people. From personal experience, I understand the cultural bridge that a community center can create to unite diverse sets of families, friends, and neighbors. The design of these projects requires a critical eye for problem-solving and the accuracy and creativity to ultimately reach a concept that reflects the client, community, and context. Nothing is more satisfying than arriving at that perfect expression of connectivity. As the the Managing Principal of Prpject Luong, I strive to create a partnership dynamic with our clients informed by an understanding of community needs and a common cause to provide spaces with sensitivity to both economy and timeliness.

STEPHEN M. RUIZ AIA SENIOR ASSOCIATE Since graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Architecture, most of my career has involved clients in need of projects with complex programs. Buildings that need to be more than one thing in order to best serve their users. In multifamily projects, the goal of a project is to address the end user’s needs and ensure that their rent dollars are being put to good use. No matter the project type all multifamily facilities must serve the renter in multiple capacities while also having aesthetic qualities that bring pride to their home. MULTIFAMILY HOUSING With surges in population into already-dense areas, multifamily residences are becoming not only places to live but also places to work, shop, play, and gather. McLemore Luong works with developers and contractors to design multifamily complexes of all sizes. No matter the complexity, we provide innovative and budgetconscious solutions for the most minimal to the most amenity-filled communities. Not all multifamily housing is created equally. At Project Luong, we understand the unique challenges specific to different market types. Student housing, workforce housing, senior living, and other residential types require different approaches to create a successful project. We work with developers and Owners from test fit to fit-out and beyond to generate market-ready solutions for each development type.

COMMUNITY MASTER PLANNERS We know that architecture is about People and that residents are a community’s essence. We help our clients develop community spaces that are memorable and unique to the development through thoughtful planning and consideration of the natural environment. To ensure project success for our clients, we first establish the program’s overall aesthetic, purpose, and vision.
