My time in University of Maryland’s Landscape Architecture Program has challenged me to think critically about the role of landscape architecture in the future of design and ecological enhancement of our built environment. I am most inspired by projects that synthesize the values of nature and public space. The idea of bringing people togethether and bettering communities through design that implements social, ecological, and infrastructural benefits motivates me to make places that encompass the values of those who will be impacted. Persuing a degree in Landscape Architecture has strengthened my abilities in several softwares that allow me to communicate my design thinking and ideas. As I continue my career in design I hope to contribute to landscapes that provide enjoyable, educational, and rewarding human experiences by connecting people with nature.
