One-Sixty

Let’s combine the English word “endurance” with the Spanish term for “hard”. Voilà: In the “Enduro” category, the main task is nothing else than mastering even toughest terrain with ease – but not only a few short times. Our ONE-SIXTY is more than ready for this challenge. Expectations can be fulfilled or disappointed – what would your choice be? With the ONE-SIXTY, MERIDA presents – after a “gap year” – a brand-new 160 mm full-suspension bike which is not only eager to fulfil all high expectations towards a cutting-edge Enduro bike, but is in fact designed to exceed them successfully. Are you one of all those adventurous characters who can’t get enough of facing new challenges while experiencing exciting situations other people only know from anecdotes? Therefore “not at all enough” is exactly the right keyword for all those riders who want to tell such fascinating anecdotes. That’s why the experienced engineers and designers at MERIDA were only content with “more than enough” before they introduced the ONE-SIXTY as our new 160 mm Enduro bike for Season 2013. This resulted in a MERIDA fully which is a genuine Enduro model not only by the name of its category: Persistent, tough, sensitively acting and also light enough for comfortable uphill cycling. And of course competently equipped with an adequate chassis full of sophisticated efficiency: Heart of the ONE-SIXTY is “VPK” – MERIDA’s very own “Virtual Pivot Kinematics” technology provides this bike especially with a powerful but safe downhill performance. The 160 mm at the rear are utilized completely; even brake influences can’t affect the convincing action of the rear stay. And if there should be neither funicular nor shuttle nearby one day: Absolutely no problem – our ONE-SIXTY is free of bobbing tendencies or annoying pedal recoil. Therefore the uphill performance is equally convincing. For MY 2013 in Germany, we initially present three versions featuring internal cable routing (also for the lowerable seat post’s remote control*) and exclusive Enduro components which are optimally adapted to this demanding application range. *Model versions 1800 and 3000
