Full Suspension
Hardtails 100
XC Race / Marathon Ninety-nine
XC Race / Marathon Big.Nine & BIG.SEVEN
New season, new name: from 2015 on, our World Cup-proven 29er full suspension with 100 mm front and rear travel omits the addition “BIG” in its name. Nevertheless, the NINETY-NINE remains on top – especially when the pro riders of the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM choose it for the gnarliest race courses. Optionally available as a full-carbon model or as a carbon-aluminium hybrid version. Page 28 f.
Ridden from success to success by the pro riders of our MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM, the two hardtail platforms BIG.NINE and BIG.SEVEN are above all speed hungry pure-breds. But moving into more affordable ranks, both are also excellently suitable for everyday MTB use. From the TFS level on, this is emphasized even more clearly now by a new gentler geometry of the revised BIG.NINE aluminium versions. Pages 54 and 68 f.
120 Marathon / Tour One-Twenty
Sport Matts
The all new ONE-TWENTY is MERIDA’s full suspension highlight for the new season. Its lightweight chassis features a perfect balance between uphill and downhill performance – and 27.5” wheels. Filled to the brim with new technical details and very potent 120 mm of “M.O.R.E.” travel in the rear, it actually requires a 130 mm fork in the front to complete the super capable overall package. Page 34 f.
While 29” and 27.5” wheels continue their triumphal march through the bike categories, the classic 26” wheel size is not at all outdated. Whether as a reasonably priced entry bike, as a version for youngsters or as a robust solution suitable for daily use and for all those who deliberately do not want to ride bigger wheels (e.g. due to body height): our MATTS continues to serve as a gateway into the MTB world. 140 All Mountain One-Forty
Lady Juliet
The gently modified 27.5” AM bike (still with 150/145 mm travel in the front/rear) is demonstrating even more playfulness, thanks to shorter chain stays. In addition, the new rear end now offers adequate tire clearance for super wide hoops. The top-of-the-line model even breaks the boundaries of the “All Mountain” category. With its 1x11 drivetrain and shorter stem, it is a light “Enduro” variant. Page 40 f.
Classic 26“ model or modern 27.5“ interpretation? Whatever – our JULIETs are sporty and above all lady-specific! Of course you can also opt for our unisex bikes, but the JULIET line has been developed for female riders who want something special with a unique design. In addition, these bikes are prepared for the convenient installation of everyday helpers such as fenders, a carrier or a kickstand. Page 92 f.
160 Enduro One-Sixty
Dirt Contest / Entry HARDY
From Model Year 2015 on, our 160 mm Enduro ONE-SIXTY also rolls on 27.5” wheels – specifically for once again improved downhill performance. The increased grip and smooth rolling over rough stuff are accompanied by more stable high-speed handling provided by now longer chain stays. Wide handlebars and short stems underline the downhill prowess of all ONE-SIXTY models in a clearly visible way. Page 44 f.
One family, two characters: the model versions up to our HARDY 6. 100 are MTB hardtails with a cool design and a derailleur system – especially recommended for everyday use outside of dirt parks or pump tracks. Exactly there, the „big brothers“ HARDY 6. 300 and 6. TEAM take over: They are genuine contest bikes which motivate our team riders Dominik Raab & Co. to deliver stunning top performances again and again. Page 100 f.
180 Freeride One-Eighty
Youth & Kids Matts Junior
Freeride is the name of the game, and ONE-EIGHTY is the new name of what used to be our FREDDY. But the changes for the season reach beyond nomenclature: Depending on model version, the ONE-EIGHTY is optionally a long-travel Enduro or a mini-downhill bike with a double crown fork. Simultaneously, all variants feature super short stems, wide handlebars and a potent “VPK” chassis. Page 48 f.
Small bikes, great changes: for Model Year 2015, the MERIDA R&D experts have put intense focus on our two-wheelers for the youngest. The former DAKAR bikes for youngsters and kids offer new technological details besides their new names. Tweaked and again optimized geometries for young MERIDA fans as well as modified configurations herald the new bike season for the kids. Page 106 f.
