PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

On behalf of Hockey Manitoba, it is once again my pleasure to extend a sincere welcome to all athletes, coaches, officials, fans and volunteers to the Hockey Manitoba Provincials presented by Cargill Ltd.

As the season nears its end we remind parents, players and coaches not to determine success solely based on wins, losses or medals that the season may have held. It is most important to reflect on each player's skill development, enjoyment of the game and positive experience with their team.

This weekend features some very exciting and entertaining hockey and will undoubtedly be a lasting memory for everyone involved. Good luck to each athlete and their respective teams, and I certainly hope they enjoy the tournament while exhibiting good sportsmanship and taking time to participate in the local hospitality.

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank all host Minor Hockey Associations and their numerous volunteers for the efforts in hosting this year's Provincials. I am certain all host committee members and parents have worked diligently over the past number of months to ensure a memorable and successful tournament is delivered.
