Whether you are in Montgomery County for a day, a week or the rest of your life, you’ll find arts and entertainment, food, lodging, leisure activities, shopping, street fairs and sports to suit your mood, the season and your personal interests.

Sports & Outdoors Tailgating for Hokie football fans is a local, fall phenomenon, and a plethora of college sports is played year round. If you can’t score tickets, or it’s too cold or rainy for even a die-hard Hokie fan, you can take cover at any of the sports bars. Friday night high school football in Blacksburg and Christiansburg provides local flavor and, occasionally, a glimpse of future collegiate players.
