THE LEGENDS 2016 MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

SCHEDULE • Qualifying Rounds: Now – Saturday, 9 April The Parris Island Golf Association (PIGA) has an Individual Stroke Play format on 2 April which can be used as your qualifying round. • Round 1: Monday, 18 April – Sunday, 1 May • Round 2: Monday, 2 May – Sunday, 15 May • Round 3: Monday, 16 May – Sunday, 29 May • Round 4: Monday, 30 May – Saturday, 11 June • Round 5: Sunday, 12 June – Championship Match QUALIFYING • Format: Net score for 18 holes of stroke play (100% of your handicap) • Eligibility: Active duty, retired military, DoD/NAF, DOJ and members of the PIGA. All competitors must have an established USGA handicap. • Entry Fee: $35 • Qualifying rounds must be witnessed and attested by another player (this person does not need to be playing their qualifying round). • All qualifiers must use an official Match Play scorecard. • Please call the Pro Shop at (843) 228-2240 to sign up for your qualifying round. CHAMPIONSHIP • The 2016 Match Play Championship will have a field of either 32 or 64 players, depending on the number of qualifiers. All players will use 100% of their current handicap. • Players will be placed into brackets based on their qualifying scores. Once the brackets have been completed, competitors have two weeks each round to schedule and play their match. If the match is not played within the time allotted, the Match Play Deadline procedures take effect. • The tees from which you played during your qualifying round will be used throughout the competition. You must play from tees that represent the majority of your posted handicap scores or back (you cannot move forward). You must be 60 or older to play from the Gold Tees. • Handicaps will be adjusted for matches played from different sets of tees (based on course rating).
