MCCQ as a media organisation would strive to not just bring multicultural communities together but also organised forums and media events that will benefit the community in having dialogues surrounding issues that affect the multicultural diaspora living in Brisbane and in Queensland. So far MCCQ has tried to have conversations around the multicultural framework to shape the multicultural policies affecting the communities. They range from establishing a communication platform to education, to sports, and Health. Talking about health Dr. gave an insightful talk on how one can take care of their heart health as we approach the festive seasons. She highlighted that no binging on Food and eating in moderation along with understanding why after a certain age, we become at risk is an important aspect to keep ourselves healthy. She also highlighted a fact that she researched and now proven that multicultural communities especially the Asian Communities, our bodies have smaller arteries, hence we cannot afford to have cholestrol build ups in our
Arteries. Even a small amount of blockage can become fatal because of our genetic structures of the arteries. Regular check ups and monitoring will prevent risks, hence screens at early stages are a must after you become 50 years old.
Dr. has agreed to write a health column for MCCQ’s monthly newspaper and we are excited to have her collaborate with MCCQ. We also discussed other collaborations we can have between communities to develop training programs developing important skills needed for the survival of the multicultural heritage, culture, and traditions. Running a nonprofit is never too easy and members become extrememly important. Hence increasing the membership for MCCQ has become a priority goal which intern will fulfill all the strategic panning that will go into effet in the next year.

Everyone is all excited for a fruitful New Year ahead if us. MCCQ hopes 2024 will not only shape the goals but also establish strong relations with their members and stakeholders.
Merry Chistmas and a Happy News Year.
