Andrea Moser’s journey into the captivating world of encaustic wax art began in Europe, where she was first introduced to this unique medium. The experience was nothing short of transformative, sparking a passion that has since guided her artistic pursuits. “I was instantly captivated by its unique qualities and decided to attend a workshop on encaustic wax techniques. That experience hooked me, and I’ve been exploring and creating encaustic wax art ever since,” said Andrea.

“This exhibition is a tribute to the diverse cultures and communities that shape Brisbane and Queensland. Through engaging with culturally and linguistically diverse community groups, I have gathered invaluable insights that have inspired a collection of captivating encaustic wax and mixed-media artworks.”

Currently, a selection of paintings from Eastern cultures is featured in the significant art exhibition at The Sunnybank Private Hospital’s entry foyer. The exhibition, titled ‘Think of Me,’ is a collective showcase featuring artworks from international artists hailing from Germany, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Curated by World Arts& Multi-Culture Inc., the aim is to create an artistic haven within the hospital for patients and their families, offering solace and spirits raised.

The ‘Think of Me’ exhibition opened on the 16th of December by Nyree Luke from Sunnybank Private Hospital and Susan Yang, President of World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc. The welcome ceremony embraced esteemed guests, including Overseas Community Affairs Council representative Melody Chen, artists, friends of the arts, the media, and hospital staff.
