Tamil Nadu delegation explores textile partnerships in Sydney

The Consulate General of India in Sydney hosted Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Handlooms and Textiles R. Gandhi on November 21, 2024. Accompanied by a delegation of officials and business leaders, Minister Gandhi aimed to strengthen trade and collaboration between Tamil Nadu and Australia’s textile and wool industries.

In partnership with the Australia India Business Council (NSW), a business interaction was organized to discuss potential collaborations. The session focused on developing warehousing facilities in Australia to streamline storage and distribution, fostering technical partnerships in textiles, wool products, and apparel, and advancing research and development in man-made fabrics.

The session highlighted the synergies between Tamil Nadu’s dynamic textile industry and Australia’s expertise in wool and innovation, paving the way for future partnerships in trade and technology.
