Diwali Milan celebration highlights cultural unity & heritage

The Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand hosted a vibrant Diwali Milan celebration recently, bringing together members of the local community for a festive evening. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi was among the guests at the event, extending his Diwali greetings to the attendees and sharing heartfelt messages of unity and cultural pride.

In his address, the Consul General also acknowledged the significance of the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas and marked the commencement of the 150th Birth Anniversary Year celebrations of Dharti Abha Bhagwan Birsa Munda. He emphasized the importance of conserving tribal heritage and paying tribute to the immense contributions of the tribal society, particularly in the fields of India’s ancient medical systems and their unwavering efforts to protect Indian culture and independence.

Furthermore, Consul General Takhi expressed his gratitude to the Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand (BJSM) Committee and the dedicated volunteers for their outstanding contributions, especially for their role in showcasing the cultural richness of Bihar and Jharkhand at the recent Fusion Multicultural Festival in the City of Gosnells.
