What makes us different? We are welcoming and affirming of people who identify as GLBTQI, we try not to do things out of habit and try to think outside the box, we are constantly finding ways to connect our Christian faith with our
everyday lives, we love noisy kids and welcome people no matter what their belief system is. We are building up to monthly all-age worship gatherings and currently hold pop-up discussion and prayer doodling sessions in local places like KFC. The Christian community “Agape” – Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) of Florence, which has jurisdiction over the whole of Tuscany, was established in November 2014. It is the first experience of this kind in Italy, thanks to the will and the ardor of a Christian group of faithful who have found a welcoming home. Challenges in Italy include religious oppression, expanding poverty and the constriction of civil and human rights. “Agape” CCM/MCC is involved in ministry
with transgender and homosexual people in prison (with related problems of prison access due to the restrictive Italian legislation), support to civil and human rights
campaigns, connection with animals and environmental activist associations. Activities against poverty against poverty have also been scheduled.

MCC is now forming in Finland! In English, the name of this new work is ~Living Water MCC Helsinki. The emergence of MCC in Helsinki is because the people are thirsty and need to drink. “If anyone is thirsty, come to Me and drink. The
one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” (John 7:37-38) Ministry Leader Tarja Pyykkö, has many years of ministry experience and is in the process of becoming MCC clergy.
Tarja describes these first months of formation: “We are just starting our voyage. We’ll take the first step and trust that we’ll find out what is the next one after that.”

Open Doors MCC (ODMCC) is located in Seoul, South Korea. The motto is “A Community Seeking to Live Out the Radically Inclusive Love of Jesus Christ.� In its Sunday worship, ODMCC seeks to reflect the bi-lingual, multi-cultural nature of its community. Translation
between Korean and English is offered, and Scripture readings are provided in Korean and English. On any Sunday, gay, lesbian, straight, transgender, and gender non-conforming persons from Korea, Canada, the USA, South Africa, and Indonesia join together.
Since its beginning, ODMCC has had to deal with some hostility from the wider Korean Christian community. In the beginning, no church would offer the congregation a worship space. In spite of this, ODMCC has always been involved in providing support to the LGBT+ community in Seoul, including the Korea Queer Culture Festival and Pride Parade in Seoul. ODMCC was also among a group of affirming congregations which helped to establish Dding Ddong, the first safe space for LGBT+ youth in Korea.

church continues to form, lay leaders continually step forward to demonstrate their vast skills and consistent dedication to the mission. MCC Peoria is a spiritually progressive church that lives the core values of MCC. Ministry formation activities
includes collaboration with organizations that feed the hungry. The church also works with college students, and worked with political and community activists to host the first the Transgender Day of Remembrance Service and Seminar.
